Hair & make up
Hair & Beards- We recommend a visit to your hairdresser for a trim or colour touch-up, it will have you looking at your best.
Make-up- Avoid shimmery or glittery makeup, and be careful about using too much bronzer or Highlighter, as it doesn’t photograph well. Keep the make-up to a natural level, and rest assured, we will retouch your images.

How to prepare for your session
-
Preparation is key
Hair - In the lead up to your session, consider visiting your hairdresser or barber. A trim, or colour touch-up, will have you looking your best.
Make-up - Keep hair & make-up simple and classic, avoid shimmery or glittery makeup, and be careful about using too much bronzer or Highlighter, as it doesn’t photograph well. We will retouch your mages, so don’t feel like you need to wear more coverage than you normally would comfortable with.
Bring a hair brush/comb and hairspray if you feel you may need it.

Clothing
Be mindful of not wearing overly tight clothes. Particularly buttoned shirts & blouses, that gapes between the buttons.
If wearing a shirt and tie make sure the collar is a good fit, check the fit of the button behind the tie to make sure it closes comfortably with out gaping or being to too tight.
To convey a professional look, wear business appropriate clothing choices, Although not necessary Blazers & jackets will complete the look by framing your body.
If you want more than one look, then we recommend bringing a few outfit options, including ties, tops and jackets, and then we can advise on what will work best.
When choosing colours to wear, think about your background. If you have chosen a white backdrop for your headshot then we recommend going with a darker colour clothing option or jacket so that you stand out from the background.

Other considerations
Freshly laundered & ironed clothing is highly recommended. Remove lint, pet hair, dandruff.
Headshots often include a small amount of the area below the waist, if you don’t want your jeans or track pants to appear in the images, then wear something more consistent with the look you want to achieve.
Uniforms with company logos- Check to see if there are any new uniforms available for the session. You not only want to look your best for the session, but you also want to represent the company well.
Glasses -FYI, Transition lenses will be triggered by the studio lighting, If you require glasses to wear for your session, please consider bringing along a pair of glasses that are not tinted.
Retouching- Our retouching service will cover any last minute pimples, scratches or blemishes, just make us aware at the session of anything like that you want minimised or removed.
